7-23-03- Today I woke up to the clanging of frying pans and the splashing of fish out on the lake. I was on vacation on the St. Lawrence River. After enjoying a breakfast of pancakes and chocolate chips we went to my favorite fishing spot. I was reeling in a tube when I caught a Smallmouth Bass; before I knew it I had caught 26 perch and 3 smallmouths. We went home and ate a supper of hamburgers and went out fishing again. When we were done, it was getting dark and we went back to camp and played scrabble, I came in 2nd with 150 points. I went to sleep and it started to pour.

7-23-03- It was still raining when I got up the next morning. My dad was outside putting tarps on the bug tent to keep the rain out. I lay in bed listening to the rain and reading In-Fisherman magazine. When I finally hauled my carcass out of bed the rain was stopping, I unzipped the tent and went outside. I enjoyed a heapin’ helpin’ a’ pancakes and went fishing when the rain stopped. As you might of guessed I didn’t catch a thing. When the rain stopped it was so hot that I decided to go swimming. When I got out of the swimming area I had lunch. I had a healthy meal of crackers, cheese and, peanut butter. Then it started to rain again and I played solitaire until it stopped. We hopped in the van and went to the fishing spot we were at the day before. They just weren’t biting like they were previously and I only caught one good sized bass. The rest of them were only 2 to 6 inches long. We stayed there for about 4 hours and went back to our campsite, we sat in the tent and played poker.
